I have tried to add a comment feature, courtesy of BlogBack.

This message is to test if it is working ok.

There is a slightly different take at the Guardian.

Previously they thought the bear market must be over given the enthusiasm for Comcast re Disney.

But today an editorial includes

"If the mood of the moment in the markets looks defensive rather than bearish that can soon change, however."

I have started a topic in the Business bit of their talk section.

Please add any comments there. Not much response so far.

The site has been updated at www.cybercrash.co.uk

There is now some extra text on the front page with a quote from the Guardian on Comcast seeing this as a sign that the bear market is over. However the tone might suggest something different.

I now realise that actually the timing and scale of wave C is not really the main issue for the site. The cybercrash has already happened on a significant scale. It may go much further as part of the main market. However the main aim is to make some sense of what this sort of event indicates.

Earlier crashes appeared to be about tulips, the South Seas, maybe radio in thew 1920s. Earlier versions of the site have explored 'The Long Twentieth Century' and the possibility that a crash is typical of the early phase of a long cycle associated with a financial centre. This would associate tulips with Amsterdam, the South Seas with London, and radio with New York. The cybercrash could be the start of something else, based somewhere.

Whatever happened to itulip? The site seems never to have been updated since around 2000 when the Prez wrote that for a website market share would be gained by surviving, not spending money. Fair enough, but surely it would not cost much to add a new letter?
